Does your creative style mimic your life "style"?

It's funny but the more I look the more I see that my scrapbook pages and cards are so...ME!  I am sort of a minimalist.  I keep things simple, clean, not too embellished.  I LOVE (coordinated) patterned papers and they are the biggest embellishment most often in my projects, with a touch of bling or other embelly but not too much. I don't like too much clutter on my pages.  Although, I truly admire others who do use lots of "stuff" on their pages...it's just not my style.

If you look around my life you'll see that this style is indeed repeated throughout my being.  My house...I chose the stone, brick and paint color keeping it clean, simple, well-coordinated.  My landscaping is very simple, as well as the inside of my home....very few nicknacks...who is gonna dust all that mess???  Minimal decorations(embellies), well coordinated patterns.

My personal style...me!  Notice my girlfriends...nails done, hair done, everything did!  Big earrings, bracelets, necklaces, make-up and then there is me...cute pattern, small hoops, wedding ring and no other jewelry, NO make-up, natural hair, no nail color..very little embellishment.  LOL! Just like my pages!  As with my pages, I think my girls look fabulous and I love all of the ways they embellish.

And just like with my pages, every so often I step out of the box and try something new and add a bit more embellishments but then I always return to my true self..simple, clean, minimally embellished!
