Recipe Wednesday - Bacon Egg & Cheese Bagel

Today, I am craving a McDonald's Bacon Egg and Cheese Bagel. I checked the fridge and I have everything to make a more healthy, figure friendly version. Here's what I did...

Ingredients:
2 slices turkey bacon
1/4 cup Egg Substitute (like Egg Beaters)
1 slice fat free cheese
1 Bagel Thin
1 tsp. fat free mayo
1/4 tsp. mustard

Cook the turkey bacon in a non stick skillet over medium heat. Turn after 4 minutes and continue cooking. If your skillet is large enough, pour in the egg substitute. Add pepper if desired. Cook until bacon and eggs are cooked.

Mix fat free mayo with mustard. Spread on half of the bagel thin. Lay egg, cheese and bacon on the bagel thin and top with the top half of the bagel. Enjoy!

You will cut the 560 calories and 27 grams of fat down to 225 calories and only 4 grams of fat by using these healthier ingredients. It's delicious and satisfying without all of the guilt.

Don't forget to check out the last recipe, Grilled Chicken and Veggie Sandwich.
