In honor of Scraps of Color's 7th Anniversary, myself along with some talented papercrafters, have teamed up to honor and celebrate sistahood and the wonderful women in our lives who make us laugh, cry, shout, scream, play, live. We honor through our creativity and sharing our stories during this blog hop. Each sistah blogger will inspire you with her creativity and will also be offering up some blog candy! What is blog candy you ask? It's a giveaway! So sit back and get ready to be inspired with the Celebrate Sistahood Blog Hop. Just start here, check out what I've created, follow the rules for entry and then move on to the next blog hop participant for your chance to win again and again. Be sure to visit each blog between Friday, October 21 and Sunday, October 23 for more inspiration and chances to win. This hop closes on October 23, 2011 11:59pm est. Winners will be posted on each blog on or before October 28, 2011. So be sure to check back!
Here is my entry for the blog hop. I created this fun layout of me and my girls, Tena, Melissa and Moanica. We spent the New Year together cropping and laughing at Archivers. I love hanging out with these ladies, they are simply full of JOY and creativity. There is always a good time to be had with them around! For this layout...I broke out the stash! I decided to use some oldies but goodies. The flowers have got to be about 2 years old, the paper about 1 year in my stash. I also challenged myself to create using patterned paper as the background and the highlight, instead of using a solid cardstock as the background, as I typically do. The results...quite pleasing! I LOVE IT! I hope you do too. And I hope you too will use up some of your stash and challenge yourself to change it up! Give it a try...this weekend!
Now, how do you win this great prize? A fabulous bag from The Daily Window that you can personalize with your own card creations. Well, all you have to do is: - Follow this blog..see at right.
- Leave a comment telling me what kind of weekly challenge you'd like to see here. In the coming weeks and throughout 2012, I want to start doing a weekly, scrappy challenge. Hmmmmm? What should it be: Scraplift Challenge, Use Your Stash, Sketch, Technique, How to/Step by Step Challenge, Layout of the Week Challenge, Inspiration Station(weekly challenge featuring whatever I like...cards, layouts, altered art etc) or make a suggestion....most votes wins!!! And you are also entered to win the bag! Woohoo!
- Now that you've commented, see below to continue the blog hop for more inspiration and chances to win! Yay!
Have a Scrap, Happy, HEALTHY weekend!
